The first two weeks

1 week... found her thumb. I was not as pleased as Grama Barb
The first two weeks were pretty good. We did not get much sleep, but Grace was an angel and so helpful. That made all the difference. My sisters and their familes visited a few times as well as my parent and brought food. Carla, Dave and the girls visited, and Chuck and Jean brought us dinner. It was so great to have the help.

Great Grama and the girls.
I love this photo. Grace really enjoys spending time with Great Grama and Great Grama eats that up.
2 weeks...the sit n' stand stroller...a must!
First time at the mall. Lucy slept the whole time and Grace kept telling every sales person about her baby sister.

A snuggly baby! Lucy is a bit more fussy than Grace, but I love the snuggle time.

A much needed rest. :-)

Funny Valentine

Grace, Lucy and I had a great weekend. We had 2 slumber parties... cousins Tess and Eve spent the night on Friday and cousins Rhiley, Alex and Elizabeth were here on Saturday. Wayne spent the weekend at Trivia (yah! Sigma Phi) so we all had some good female bonding time. Cupcakes, pizza/pasta, and eggless pancakes were enjoyed by all.

Tess made Lucy giggle so hard it made me cry. Time with girls...nothing better.

Two for Two

Lucille Nora was born at 7:45am on Wednesday September 23, 2009. She arrived via a planned c-section. She was 7lbs 7oz and 18.5 in. She is named Lucille after my paternal Grandmother and Nora after Wayne's paternal Grandmother. She cried right away, the Dr. said "you are two for two" and Wayne said she is perfect.

Wayne was wonderful as I was out of it for a lot of the first day. But I did the best I could and definately fell in love with her right away!

Grama and Papa Bresnahan brought Grace to hospital and Grace was pretty excited about being a big sister. Lucy had a great gift for her...a backpack filled with things she loves.

Papa and Grama were pretty excited about the name. Papa cried which made us all cry.

Grandma and Grandpa Stark came to visit that night as well and loved her up.
